Pinterest recently revealed the most popular pinned ideas for weddings over the next 12 months, and we have to say, we love them all.
From drip cakes and leafy foliage displays to off-the-shoulder gowns and the rise of the mini-moon... The moodboarding website has spotted some beautiful trends emerging for nuptials over the next 12 months.
One idea, in particular, has attracted a lot of attention: the 'less is more' approach to bridesmaids.
To clarify: brides are increasingly opting for smaller parties of 'maids to walk them down the aisle, with some opting to have none at all.
Pinterest has seen a 100% rise in the 'keeping it intimate' trend, with a desire for smaller celebrations - and, subsequently, smaller budgets - coming into play as the driving force behind the trend. After all, it's not cheap having a gaggle of your best girls by your side on your W-day: even if they pay for their own dresses, there are still things such as hair and make-up, flowers, accommodation, gifts and so on to consider.
Of course, it's not just budget-conscious couples who might want to keep their wedding party trim: brides who simply can't decide who to ask might also opt for walking down the aisle sans 'maids.
