The Duchess of Cambridge's 2011 wedding to Price William is arguably one of the most iconic celebrations of the 21st century (remember that wedding gown, created by McQueen designer Sarah Burton?), seeing the as-was Kate Middleton walk down the aisle of Westminster Abbey, with her younger sister, Pippa, by her side as Maid of Honour.
However, new footage has emerged showing that this wasn't the sisters first foray into the world of weddings: they actually both played bridesmaids at the 1991 wedding of their uncle, Gary Goldsmith.
Gary married Miranda Foote - who looked rather fabulous in an off-the-shoulder silky gown - at St Peter's Church in Burnham, Buckinghamshire, in 1991. A newly-released video of the celebration shows the Middleton sisters looking pretty in pink flower-girl gowns, with pretty white flower crowns completing their look. They also held an unusual posy alternative; flower strewn ivory hoops!
Kate and Pippa, who were nine and seven years old respectively at the celebration, were joined by two other older bridesmaids, whilst their younger brother, James, made an adorable page boy. (Like, seriously - that top hat is too cute.)
It won't be long before the Middleton trio are at another family wedding; Pippa is expected to marry fiancée James Matthews in Buckinghamshire this summer.
