A Justin Alexander wedding dress, 'maids in blue and a sugar flower waterfall cake were just three wow-worthy details from this couple's celebration
Kaycee Reed, a hair stylist, and Mac Manley, a machine operator, both 23, married at The Corry House in Union Point, Georgia, USA.
Mac and I met through mutual friends on Memorial Day 2012. We ended up chatting most of the night and when he went to leave I asked if he was going to get my number. He texted me good morning the next day and hasn't missed a morning yet!
We had a religious ceremony with a rustic, elegant twist. We also wanted a laid-back environment, so that our guests could really let loose and have fun.
My gown was by Justin Alexander and had off-the-shoulder straps and a sweetheart neckline. I loved my shoes too - they were ivory heels by Naturalizer.
Our flowers were beautiful - we had lots of roses and gypsophilia with trailing greenery in our ceremony area. For my bouquet, there were pastel roses and peonies with a smattering of berries for texture.
My grandfather passed away a few years ago and he always wore a peanut pin in his hat, which I pinned to my bouquet.
Our cake was a simple white one with a sugar flower waterfall and we had our favourite local restaurant cater the wedding with a home-cooked Southern menu.
Mac and I were the first on the dancefloor and last off, and the band did an amazing job of getting everyone up - it was one big day party!
My tip for brides-to-be? Remember that this is your day. You have to ultimately do whatever will make you happy.
Steal their style!
