Ria and Andrew didn't let bad weather put a dampener on their gorgeous big day...
Ria Van Dyke, 24, who works in animal care, and Andrew Solley, 21, who is in insurance, married in a ceremony at Lavender Hill, on Waiheke Island, New Zealand, followed by a reception at Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant.
Budget: under £20,000
Andrew proposed against the backdrop of Waiheke Island - it was so beautiful that we could see no place more fitting to hold our celebration.
We opted for an old-world Tuscan elegance theme, choosing decor to complement the beauty of the surrounding hills and olive groves.
The gold brass accents weren't easy to find, so I sourced pieces from all over the world, including Morocco, India, New York and Australia.
We decorated the fountain with wreaths of olive garland and placed brass urns with loosely arranged wildflowers to line the aisle, complemented with flickering candles set upon a fireplace, which created a rustic Tuscan look.
To complement the Italian feel to our day, we had a classical guitarist playing Italian love songs throughout the evening.
It really was love at first sight when I set eyes on my gown. Carefully hand-sewn, my dress was beautifully embellished with crystals, intricate embroidery and layers of lace and tulle.
Everything was perfect about our day apart from the weather. Gale-force winds thwarted our plans to have an outdoor celebration - with only hours to spare! Luckily, Andrew and his groomsmen were quick to bring the furniture and other decor inside. As I turned the corner to walk down the aisle, it was the most magical sight.
My favourite moment was when Andrew left our table before reappearing with his guitar to serenade me - it was beautiful.
My top tip for brides-to-be? This is your special day so embrace every moment!
