Regardless of whether your natural nails are long or short, as Celebrity Nail Technician and Seven Seas Ambassador, Lucy Tucker proves, there's a way to make them look extra gorgeous for your big day!

Watch the nail tutorial video below to find out how!

Need help with the bridal nail big-day prep? We hear you! Here's five super top tips from Lucy Tucker too to help you on your way...

#1 Prep prep prep!

"It can take up to six months for your nails to grow out from the cuticle bed to nail tip, so if your nails are short and in bad condition, it’s best to start treating them as soon as possible. Fingernails grow about 1/8 of an inch per month, so adding oils high in fatty acids, anti-oxidants and nutrients will help with nail growth. It’s best to apply oil to clean nails before sleep so you can allow the oils to soak into the tissue overnight."

#2 Get the right tools.

"A boomerang nail file is great for reducing the thickness of nail extensions, and they allow smooth filing in awkward areas. I also always have an orange stick to hand as these can correct mistakes quickly when painting nails."

#3 Get strengthening!

"Strengthen your nails by putting a teaspoon of finely chopped garlic into your base coat. Apply three times a week to natural nails for a quick fix. It strengthens nails really well (some people claim it also helps them grow faster) for a fraction of the cost of some of the top nail strengtheners. Also keep your nails protected by using a good quality top coat."

#4 Treat your hands!

"Don’t neglect your hands in the run up to your wedding. Exfoliate twice a week and make sure to wear sunscreen on your hands. Also invest in a good hand cream - a personal favourite is Sisley Global Anti-Ageing Hand Cream. Massaging hands not only helps you to relax but it will also boost your circulation and encourage nail growth."

#5 Take note of your diet!

"Diet is important for nail growth, so make sure you’re eating protein and good fats. To help maintain healthy, strong nails take a multivitamin rich in zinc and biotin like Seven Seas Perfect7 Woman. This has got the added bonus of being great for hair and the special formula provides effective absorption of nutrients in your body's cells to support you from the inside as you get older."
