Warning: this story might leave you with a sugar craving...
This is a wedding dress with a difference. And we mean - a serious difference.
Lovingly hand-crafted and featuring endless divine detail, the stunning gown is fit for the most beautiful bride.
However, it will never be worn - as it's made of CAKE.
It took 300 hours for a three-person team - comprising of award-winning cake-designer Sylvia Elbar, Yvette Marner of Fun N Funky Cakes and artist Ilinka Rnic - to put together, and weighs in at an astonishing 11 stone.
So what, exactly, is the recipe for the dress, which stands at just over 5ft5 tall? Mixing bowls at the ready: 35kg of fondant, endless wafer paper and 3kg of lace were used to bring the stunning design to life. A staggering 2,000 sheets of water were used to create the ruffles and details of the gown's skirt, whilst sugar flowers and edible balls complete the design.
If you want the chance to view the dress in the flesh sponge, it will be on display at Cake International in London this weekend.
